During the second edition of the Meet Me at the Lighthouse literature festival, from 9 to 12 November on Schiermonnikoog, you can bump into writers from Spain, the Basque Country, Slovenia, Serbia or Italy. This is a result of the collaboration between Meet Me at the Lighthouse and Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature.

In the LIT UP project, Leeuwarden City of Literature works together with six European partners to draw more attention to literature in minority languages in Europe. This year the partners will come together on Schiermonnikoog. Part of the professional program is open to visitors to the festival and foreign authors will perform.

After a successful first edition in 2022, the organization of Meet Me at the Lighthouse is focusing on a four-day festival this year. Adriaan van Dis, Eva Meijer, Myron Hamming and Mariken Heitman are the first names on the program.

The entire program will be announced at the beginning of June. Ticket sales will also start in June, on the festival’s website. If you want to stay informed, sign up for their newsletter on the website.
