Washing your hands? Read a poem! Since corona, we wash our hands more thoroughly than ever. How nice is it to read a beautiful Frisian poem during those twenty seconds? This is possible with Wjerspegelje, a project of Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature and Merk Fryslân.
When shops, restaurants, museums, libraries and government buildings reopened, more and more poems appeared on mirrors in toilets in three rounds. The project is now completed, with fifty poems by 28 poets in two hundred locations.
