The cultural institutions in Leeuwarden will open the new season on Saturday 3 September. They are opening their doors from 1 pm to 5 pm, to tell you about their program for the coming months, or to let you hear or experience it! You can walk from shows for all ages, to bands, to sessions or exhibitions, grab some food and drinks along the way, and continue the evening with the ST<RTfestival!

Lovers of literature and language will also be provided for on 3 September. On the program, for example: children can listen to children’s book authors reading to them at the Afûk bookshop, and Afûk and HCL both organize a small book market. The Fryske Akademy offers, among other things, a mini course in Old Frisian. In Obe by Tresoar you will discover stories of both well-known and unknown Frisians. At Tryater you can step into a life-size chip tray for the audio installation Snackgelok about consuming.
