Portraits Mienskipssintrum Leppehiem - Leeuwarden City of Literature

On 11 and 12 October, Tsead Bruinja, musician Zea and photographer Rosa van Ederen visited nursing home Mienskipssintrum Leppehiem in Akkrum with guest poet Nyk de Vries. They made personal portraits with and for Mr Rinsma and the ladies Van Dijk-Lemstra, De Zee-de Ruiter and Sniegowicz-Willemsen..

Tsead about the visit to Leppehiem: “I went straight to the changing room of the swimming pool in Akkrum, because Wokke had her weekly swimming hour. It was the first time that the introduction for Portraits in Poetry took place in swimming trunks! The reception was again very hospitable The trip to Mr Rinsma’s old hi-fi shop in Lippenhuizen was worth mentioning. As a music lover and amateur audiophile, I was thoroughly lectured by Rinsma, who used to be feared at audio fairs for his critical eye and sharp questions.”

Rosa: “Mr. Rinsma has had a hi-fi specialist shop in Lippenhuizen for over 50 years. And not in the category Philips or Sony, but really high-quality equipment. He has a great passion for listening to music as optimally as possible, which unfortunately he couldn’t get installed in his new house in Leppehiem. But every week he meets with friends at his old shop where there is still some equipment, including a special listening room. And, of course, I wanted to see that listening room up close. A record of Sade was put on. Mr. Rinsma sat down, closed his eyes for a moment and enjoyed.”
