At the Skriuwersfakskoalle, Frisian writers are given ample have the ability to develop and experiment with prose, poetry, drama, and essays. The 150th anniversary of the Tripgemaal is a wonderful occasion to present work by these new and more experienced writers. On Sunday afternoon, August 16, you can enjoy texts in various genres and styles, centered around the theme ‘Sink or Swim’.
This afternoon takes place just before the start of the new academic year at the Skriuwersfakskoalle, so both students and teachers will perform. Students reading from their work are Lara Kool, Janke de Vries, Tryntsje van der Steege en Yva Hokwerda. Teachers taking the mic are Arjan Hut and Hein Jaap Hilarides. Tsjerk Bottema (also a teacher) will be hosting the afternoon.
Following the readings, there will be a get-together for both writers and visitors. Admission is free, but do please register your attendance at post@hettripgemaal.nl
The Skriuwersfakskoalle is a collaboration between Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature, Tresoar, and Schrijversvakschool.
