Following the success of ‘Slappe Douwe’, Teatro Magiko presents a new production about a Leeuwarden writer: Havank, the pseudonym of Hans van der Kallen. With over six million books sold about detective Charles Carlier (alias De Schaduw), Van der Kallen is one of the most successful Dutch authors.

In this performance, the writer is given the opportunity to defend himself against the accusation that his books are completely outdated. He can also defend himself against accusations of wastefulness and egocentrism. In other words, Havank is challenged to show his best side.

Frank de Wilt plays Havank, Janneke Bijlsma and Sietse de Vries are the narrators, and Erik Baas plays Jan Koops. Director: Maaike van der Geest.

The premiere is on March 27th. Performances will follow on March 28th and 29th, and April 2nd, 4th, and 5th.
