Tresoar, together with children’s book ambassador Tialda Hoogeveen, is organizing the first silent book club for children (7-12 years old) at ‘De Utrecht’. A lovely, quiet reading place, without brothers or sisters disturbing, barking dogs or screens asking for attention. Between the drawings of nature and animals by the artists Stern Nijland and Onno Hooijmeijer, children can completely lose themselves in their story. Just really time for a book.
How does it work?
Bring your own book or choose one from the large pile of Dutch and Frisian children’s books. Walk in between 13:00 and 15:00, find a quiet spot and stay as long as you want. Of course you can just come along — and yes, the cuddly toy can come along too. For everyone who comes we have something to drink and something tasty. At 3.30 pm we close the doors again.
