At the invitation of the Heerenveen Literary Activities Foundation, Philip Huff is coming to Heerenveen. Philip is a writer, director and poet. He was born on 28 September 1984 in Naarden. Huff studied Spanish at the University of Granada, history and philosophy at the University of Amsterdam, and did a minor in American Studies at Humboldt University in Berlin.
He is the author of several bestsellers, including Dagen van gras, Niemand in de stad and Wat je van bloed weet. He is the editor of De Gedichtenapotheek, an anthology full of poetry for mind and heart.
His sixth novel Een goed nest was published in March 2026 by publisher Prometheus. The book explores family dynamics: how parents and their children need, miss and harm each other and how they try to love each other through it all.
Besides being a writer, Huff is also active as a director and poetry maker. An evening with a writer who cannot be pinned down to one medium.
