Journalist and author Anne-Gine Goemans has won several awards for her novels. Her novel, Wondermond, published last year, was also very well received. It tells the story of Boye de Koning, who seems assured of a golden future until his father is arrested for investment fraud. He flees with his mother to a fishing village in Friesland, where a long-ago shipping disaster still holds the villagers in its grip.
Goemans’ book Dhr. weigert zorg is also discussed during the interview with the author. In this book, Anne-Gine Goemans reveals the harsh reality of her father’s dementia. Anne-Gine Goemans is interviewed in Dutch by presenter and theater maker Alice Faber.
