Linda de Haan will become the new Berneboeke ambassador (Children’s book ambassador) for Friesland next year. Starting in January 2026, De Haan will be promoting Frisian children’s books for three years. She succeeds previous Berneboeke ambassadors Lida Dykstra and Tialda Hoogeveen.

Linda de Haan: “This ambassadorship feels like a natural step and comes at a wonderful time in my career. I can now use, expand, and give back to children all the experience I’ve gained over the past few years. Besides schools, I also hope to spread the joy of reading in places where reading and self-confidence aren’t always a given, because the joy of reading is also the springboard to happiness.”
