This year, one story and four poems will receive a Rely Jorritsma Prize. The winning story is ‘In Portugees ythûs’ by Sytse Jansma (Harlingen).
The winning poem by Geart Tigchelaar (Jorwert) is untitled. The other winning poems are ‘De seepappegaai seit: ‘Uhh…’ ‘ by Janneke Spoelstra (Alde Leie), ‘reidseame’ by Marije Roorda (Broek) and ‘Skilderles’ by Pim Rodenboog (Oudebildtzijl).
This year the Rely Jorritsma Prize competition was held for the 72nd time, drawing 91 submissions: 34 stories and 57 poems. The jury consisted of Gerbrich van der Meer, Reitze Jonkman and Yvonne Dijkstra.
The prizes of €1,000 each will be awarded on Saturday 3 October at the Mammemahûs in Jellum.
