Objectives and organizational plan
Promoting literature in Friesland and Frisian literature, in an (inter)national context and performing all other actions that are related to the above in the broadest sense or can be conducive to it.

Supervisory Board
Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature works with a three-person Supervisory Board (RvT), consisting of: S. van Gent (chair), L. van Grunsven and H. Visser.

Remuneration policy RvT
The RvT members do not receive any remuneration for their work. The RvT can decide by a simple majority of votes, in a meeting where each RvT member is present or represented, to reimburse travel and accommodation expenses, or other costs incurred in the performance of their duties.

Remuneration policy employees
Two people have been seconded from Stichting Afûk to Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature, whereby the remuneration has been determined on the basis of the “CAO Zorg & Welzijn”. Three employees are affiliated with Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature on a freelance basis. Their remuneration is determined on the basis of the expected hours worked and the job description, taking into account a fair practice based on trust, sustainability and transparency.
