Summer Activities at Bibliotheek Drachten

Whether you’re looking for a page-turning read, a cool place to escape the heat, or inspiration for your next adventure – Bibliotheek Drachten is your place to be this summer. Throughout the summer, there’s a wealth of creative activities for all ages.

Walking with Words brings you together with others, the Writing Café gives you space for your own story. For children, there’s the Summer Treasure Hunt (5+), Read-Aloud Adventures & Treasure Box Secrets (4+) with crafting fun, and a creative kite-making workshop with Hester van End of April (6+).

Already preparing for the new school year? At the Book Cover Café you personalise your school books, and in the MakerLab (12+) you decorate your iPad or laptop case.

Library members can borrow materials for longer throughout the summer. For those not yet or no longer members: a summer subscription costs €7.50 for three months. There’s also a book sale during the holidays.
