From 15 November, the Zinnenfabriek will open its doors at Nieuwestad 29 in Leeuwarden. This pop-up poetry shop was founded by City Poet Marrit Jellema, in collaboration with the municipality of Leeuwarden. The shop is run by Marrit and her team of spoken word artists. Young and old are welcome to browse through cabinets and compartments full of surprising texts and original poems. The Zinnenfabriek is open on Friday and Saturday afternoons from 12:00 to 17:00, until mid-December. On 30 November, the Culturele Apotheek (Cultural Pharmacy) will hold a walk-in consultation in the Zinnenfabriek.

You will then receive your very personal custom book prescription on the spot, including the correct dosage, the best time to take it and any side effects. You can then buy the prescribed books at a bookstore in the city or borrow them from dbieb!
A consultation at the Culturele Apotheek is free and is offered to you by Leeuwarden City of Literature. Registration is not required, you can just walk in!
