This successful lecture series has become a familiar part of the dbieb program. Each evening focuses on a different book. Leading specialists, mostly affiliated with the Faculty of Arts at the University of Groningen, discuss a literary work that is currently receiving a great deal of attention. You can attend the lectures even if you have not yet read the book. This year also features an (extra) lecture on Young Adult Literature: Spraakmakende Boeken Jong (High profile books for Young People).
On this first evening of the new season, Zwarte September by Sandro Veronesi will be discussed. The book was translated by Welmoet Hillen. The speaker is Dr. Els Jongeneel.
