During Book Week, Stichting Literaire Activiteiten Sneek (LAS) welcomes bestselling author and columnist Peter Buwalda. He will discuss De Jaknikker, the long-awaited second part of his trilogy about Otmar’s sons.
Peter Buwalda (1971) stormed the bestseller lists in 2010 with his debut Bonita Avenue, which won all debut prizes, sold 400,000 copies and was translated into twenty languages. Nine years later, Otmars Zonen appeared, the first part of a trilogy about a father and son who lose sight of each other.
In De Jaknikker (October 2025), we’re drawn further into worldwide family troubles within the oil and music business, driven by money, fame, power, deceit and resentment. Whether part three will actually appear remains unclear – but perhaps Buwalda will say something about that this evening.
