Curious about literature, new voices and meeting like-minded people? The Literary Café is dedicated to Gjalp – an evening full of literature, music and emerging talent.
Gjalp gives space to voices that deserve to be heard by publishing open calls in various themes. A number of winners from the first two editions get the stage this evening.
Erik de Boer brings a fragment from his Frisian Oersonate, which premiered at Oerol in June. Myrte Marije Veenbaas and Joël tell how they are developing their winning work into a production for a Wadden festival. Marije de Lange performs the recitation with which she opened the Northern Film Festival last year.
The evening offers not only a platform for their work, but also a glimpse of how they are further developing their ideas and projects.
There is live music by Hûs fan de Skries (Axl Hofstede and Wilco Hoekstra). There is also special attention for the Tony Feitsmapriis. This evening also marks the announcement of Gjalp 2027.
