Carolijn Visser (1956), born in Zeeland, traveled the world for her books. Her books include ‘Grey China’, ‘Bowing Bamboo’, and ‘Vrouwen in den vreemde‘. In 2013, she received the Bob den Uyl Prijs for Argentine Evenings and in 2017 the Libris geschiedenis Prijs for ‘Selma’.

Her latest book, ‘Broers – in naoorlogs Nederland’, will be published on February 12th. It’s a compelling (family) history of art, ideals, and the reconstruction of the Netherlands.
