Just before International Women’s Day, Ferhalefjoer celebrates stories about women full of courage, daring and strength. Storytellers Baukje Koolhaas and Ingrid Halfhide share their tales, then visitors are invited to tell their own – as long as women take centre stage.
The tradition is inspired by the Jewish Drut’syla – women who passed down stories of strong women from grandmother to granddaughter. Want to tell a story? Sign up on the evening. Just want to listen? Equally welcome.
