On Thursday, April 18, we organized the second edition of our Lettertreffen network meeting, for the literary sector in Friesland.

Ernst Bruinsma talked about the plans of Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature for the coming year. Romkje de Bildt from Nederlands Letterenfonds and Harmen Akerboom from the province of Fryslân provided information about literary subsidies. Correen Dekker and Kim Jelsma from Noordwoord explained what they do for the literary field in Groningen.

The visitors then went to sharing sessions on literary subsidies, collaboration or involving young people. There was a shared reading session and writers could have an author’s photo taken.

The meeting was presented by Karen Bies. Afterwards there was an opportunity to chat over a drink.
