The sixtieth poetry stone of the Poëzieroute Leeuwarden was unveiled today on the sidewalk of the Wijbrand de Geeststraat, at the intersection of the Margaretha de Heerstraat.
The stone with a poem by poet René van Loenen was unveiled by Hilde Tjeerdema, councilman for education of the Leeuwarden municipality, on the occasion of the 155th anniversary of PCBO Leeuwarden e.o.
It is the first ‘education stone’ in the series. From the new stone used to be a view of one of the PCBO schools, the Groen van Prinsteren School (for primary and extended primary education), the school building in which the Pedagogical Academy was housed in 1907, and where the current PCBO-office is located today.
