For some time now, people say that the position of Frisian literary is crumbling with all the stages, collectives and projections for Frisian poetry. Prose is just as suitable to be recited, prose is not only intended for reading at home. Frisian literary magazine Ensafh is therefore organizing the “Lange koartproazajûn” (long evening for short prose) on November 27, 2020 and calls on everyone to write and submit a short story.

Authors of the best stories are allowed to recite them that evening and the very best stories are published in the paper edition of Ensafh. You can email your short story of up to 250 words to Ensafh until 1 July 2020. All (regional) languages in Fryslân can be used. The story must be sent as a Word file, with name, address and telephone number.

The entries will be judged anonymously by a jury, consisting of: Gerbrich de Jong (linguist and teacher at NHL Stenden university), Anne Feddema (writer, visual artist and editor) and Nyk de Vries (writer, musician and Poet of Fryslân). The results will come after August 1.
