The “VakantieBieb” (holiday library) will be open again from 1 July to 31 August 2020. In this app, Dutch people can now enjoy audiobooks in addition to e-books this summer. Everyone will experience a summer full of Dutch stories with the VakantieBieb: young and old, a member or not a member of the Library.
There are dozens of e-books and audiobooks, from suspense to chicklit and from literature to informative. For the youngest readers there is, for example, SuperDolfje by Paul van Loon and stories by Guusje Nederhorst and Jacques Vriens. Young people can enjoy books such as Instagirl by Annette Mierswa and Klem by Mel Wallis de Vries. There is also a lot of beauty for adults: think of Otmar’s sons of Peter Buwalda or The small bakery on the beach of Jenny Colgan.
Contest for young readers
Also this summer there is a giveaway for readers up to and including 18 years old. They can win a Beats Solo Pro headphones if they pass on their favorite book in the VakantieBieb.
Free app
The VakantieBieb app with e-books and audiobooks is available for free in the App Store and Google Play. The VakantieBieb is a service of the online Library and is offered by the KB on behalf of all libraries in The Netherlands.
