Dichter bij Leeuwarden, dbieb, Explore the North and Leeuwarden City of Literature, started a joint production during the poetry week: the creating of a collection of poetry in which young word artists and young photographers inspire each other. The collection, with the theme “Together”, will be distributed door to door in Leeuwarden at the end of February.
In the Poetry Week (28 January to 3 February) ten writers/poets and ten photographers will work on the theme. Half of them starts from their own inspiration, the other half is inspired by the work of the other. This will lead to a bundle with ten photo-poem combinations. The makers include students from the Academy for Pop Culture and participants in talent development projects such as Poetry Circle and Meeuw Jonge Schrijvers (young writers). In the coming weeks, a number of sneak peeks will be shared via the socials of the initiators.
Dichter bij Leeuwarden, dbieb, Explore the North, De Westerkerk and Leeuwarden City of Literature have been coordinating the activities and activities more closely for a while. The project is the first visible result of this intensified collaboration.
