During the autumn break, from October 17 to 26, 2025, Bolsward will feature an atmospheric light route by Kroft&Smids. The route, featuring projections, will lead you through unfamiliar alleyways or literally cast familiar monuments in a new light.
Neisimmerljocht Bolsward consists of a series of projections featuring inspiring animations, surprising poems, philosophical quotes, and humorous videos. Images that invite us to contemplate and reflect together; on the place, on the time, on life. The route will lead you through unfamiliar alleyways or literally cast familiar monuments in a new light. It offers an opportunity for encounters, a fresh perspective on the city, a catalyst for conversation, and an introduction to art. So that the everyday becomes special again, and we are casually reminded of the beauty of life (and togetherness).
The 1.5 km route starts at Museum De Tiid. The museum is open during the route and features the exhibition “Magical Light” by Bernard Zantman.
The light route can be experienced from October 17th to 26th, daily from 7:15 PM to 10:00 PM
(on Sunday, October 26th, from 6:15 PM due to winter time).
