The first copy of the new children’s book “Jou my de romte!” (Give me space / writer: Bart Kingma) was offered on Friday 20 November to students of the community school “Bloei” in Terherne. The accompanying escape (class) room game was also launched here earlier.

“Your my de romte!” is about Anno N., who was very bullied as a grade 7 student. In the book Anno gives a description of his unpleasant school days and thus shows how the bullying started and became increasingly intense. At the same time he describes a different course of his life story. With a new conclusion, in which the students bully and turn loneliness into caring and friendship.

With a nod to the escape (class) room game, writer Bart Kingma was taken to the school in a police car. Both Kingma and the police officers briefly talked about bullying, loneliness and the influence of others in mischief and wrongdoing.

Relationship with escape (class) room game

The book can be used completely independently, but gets additional value in combination with the escape (class) room “Anno N. fersus skoalbern”. In the classroom, the book comes to life through all kinds of processing assignments. The activities give rise to naming each other’s qualities, but also to experience what the reaction of someone else can mean for your actions. After registration via www.annon.frl, the book is offered free of charge to students in groups (6), 7 and 8. Jou my de romte! is now also available in bookstores, the Afûk shop and the Afûk webshop.

Anno N. fersus skoalbern and Jou my de romte! are projects of: Afûk, Cedin, Fers, GGD Fryslân, NHL Stenden, Omrop Fryslân and ROC Friesland College, commissioned by Provinsje Fryslân.
