Irem Esinti (11 years old) of IKC Aventurijn was chosen as the first Children’s poet of Leeuwarden last Thursday 27 May. Irem gets this title for a year.
More than 250 children from 7 different schools took part in the poetry competition with 13 finalists in the end. Besides Irem, there were 3 finalists from the Aventurijn school. She will soon be able to recite her winning poem to mayor Buma.
