A versatile artist with a rich career in Frisian literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Martsje grew up on a farm in Pingjum. After her graduation, she became a freelancer for various magazines. In the years that followed, she devoted herself to translating books into Frisian \u2013 classics such as <em>The BFG<\/em> by Roald Dahl, <em>Pippi Longstocking<\/em> by Astrid Lindgren, and books by Jochem Myjer. In 2018 she founded her own company: MartsjeTekst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She wrote two books about her native village Pingjum and is a storyteller and member of Dichterscollectief Rixt. Since 2020 she reviews Frisian literature for Omrop Frysl\u00e2n. In 2024 she won the second Fryske Po\u00ebzij Slam.
