Are you a writer between 14 and 18 years old and would you like to perform your own poetry for an audience? This is your chance! De Jonge Schrijvers (The Young Writers) are going to Oerol Festival on Terschelling, where you can perform at the heart of the festival between June 19 and 21.
Jonge Schrijvers (Young Writers) is a writing programme for young people in Friesland, organized by Explore the North and Meeuw jonge theatermakers. Prose, poetry, theatre, songs, film scripts: everything is covered in the writing classes.
The accompanying series of lessons will be taught by poet, playwright and performer Yentl van Stokkum. She will prepare you in detail for your own performance during the festival.
Classes take place on Wednesday evenings (6:30-9:00 PM) at Podium Explore in Leeuwarden.
