Writer Rob Chrispijn, singer Jolien Damsma (with Frisian roots) and musician Jan Borger present Toevalstreffer (Lucky Strike) – a performance about the role of coincidence and the small miracles in our lives. An antidote to a purely materialistic view of the world.
Chrispijn has been writing lyrics for decades for Herman van Veen, Stef Bos and many others. In this performance he tells stories and sings, while Jolien Damsma adds a new dimension to his texts with her magnificent voice. Jan Borger provides sensitive support on keyboards, guitar and accordion.
The repertoire consists of original work and reinterpretations of Leonard Cohen, Sting and songs by Herman van Veen, among others. Afterwards, you’ll (hopefully) go home just a little lighter and more loving.
