April is Philosophy Month. Writer and lawyer Roxane van Iperen will speak about her essay ‘Ik zie wat ik geloof’, which connects to the theme ‘Ken onszelve’.
Social media and Big Tech increasingly determine what we see and what we believe. Everyone is presented with their own version of reality. But how do we still find each other when we all live in our own bubble? Van Iperen shows how tech companies influence us and explores possible ways out. Her central question: can we rebuild a shared reality?
After the lecture there will be a break with coffee and tea, book sales and the opportunity for signing. Afterwards, plenty of room for questions.
Roxane van Iperen (1976) became known to the wider public with ‘t Hooge Nest and has since been a regular voice in public debate. She looks at power and systems with a sharp financial-economic eye.
